Patience is a virtue and you may need it. Your repair may take longer that you’d like. Sometimes I’m backed up and overbooked. Please plan accordingly.
I am not interested in wasting my time or my customers’ money.
Estimates are ESTIMATES
Every car is different. Specific needs and conditions dictate how much time/money a repair will take. Unforeseen variables such as rust, neglect or previously performed shoddy work add cost. Often I cannot pinpoint how long a repair will take.
Time is trust
The time I spend repairing a vehicle is EXACTLY the amount of time that is necessary to perform repairs in the best and most efficient manner I can.
Communication is key to the repair job
My preferred method when repairing your car is simply to charge for EXACTLY the time and materials required. During a repair, clients are apprised via email or phone of status and cost incurred. Updates can include the running total of the bill. Repairs that require time and materials in excess of $2000 may require ongoing payments.
There are parts sources and there are preferred parts sources
I choose parts sources based on my experience with their quality and dependability. I am well aware that the Internet has made parts available at dramatically reduced prices.
